Tintonegro Finca La Escuela La Piedra (Bodega Tintonegro)

One of five Malbecs from the Finca La Escuela vineyard within the newly-delimited Paraje Altamira appellation, the 2012 Malbec
Finca la Escuela la Piedra (piedra is the Spanish for stone) is even chalkier than the wine made from the gravelly part of the
vineyard. This 7,000-plants-per-hectare vineyard has a diversity of soils all with a limestone subsoil. The nose is ripe but fine, and the tannins are grainier and chalkier. Only 300 bottles.
