It's hard to see that the wine is oaked, the barrels are really oxygenating the wine, opening the palate and making the wine more open and a little wider, but not lending any aromas or flavors. Despite being a riper, warmer year, there are no signs of excess ripening, it feels very balanced. It really fills your mouth and seems to saturate every taste bud and hits the sweet spot.
